The NHL regular season has ended and so has our hockey pool.  Congratulations to the prize winners!!

Stats Posted, Pools entered!

The statistics from last Friday’s game have been posted, lots of penalties this week, good thing our referees are around to keep us in line!

Hockey Pool Time!

Your favourite hockey pool is back!  For the low entry fee of $10 you have a chance to win $100 and you’ll be supporting Markham Womens Ringette.

The pool will run similar to last year.  You can enter as many times as you like for $10 each.  All the entrant needs to do is fill in the form and pick one player from each of the 21 different groups of players.  The prizes are $100 for 1st place, $50 for 2nd place and $25 for 3rd place.  A special $10 prize goes to the person that finishes last.  Entry forms are due by Friday October 30th and can be sent by email, fax (705-652-1227) or handed in at Ringette.  Payment details are on the entry form.

All entrants will be provided instructions on how to view their standings via email after the entry deadline.  The instructions will be posted on here as well.

Hockey Pool Winners!

The results are in!  Congratulations to our first place winner Rob Jorgenson!!  A warm round of applause for our 2nd and 3rd place finishers George Amaro and Robert Kerr.  Well done Tyler Augustus who has managed to earn his entry fee back by finishing last.

I really enjoyed the pool and I hope you all did as well!  We plan to do it again next year so hopefully you will all join in again – let us know if you would like to see any changes.

Trades Available until January 4th!

ATTENTION all Hockey Pool Participants!!

Would you like to make a change to your line-up?  Do you have a goalie or a skater on your roster that might not be playing right now?  Perhaps you have friends or family members ahead of you in the standings that you’d like a better chance of catching…

For only $3.00 you can trade any one player for another one in the same group on the entry form.  You can trade any 2 players for $5.00.  

Trades will be effective immediately from the time they are received.  All points earned to date will remain the same, but you will start accumulating points for the new players as soon as the trade is completed.

Not sure who you picked the first time?  Login at www.onlinepools.com (login: 84481, password: MWRA0809) and click on your name to check your roster.  

Can’t remember which players were in which groups?  I’ve attached the original entry form so you can check that too.

To make a trade send an email to jmdeschenes@gmail.com with the name(s) of the player(s) you would like to remove from your team and the name(s) of the player(s) you would like to add.  We’ll send confirmation as soon as the trade is received and completed.  Pay the $3 or $5 to whomever you joined the pool with.

The trade deadline is January 4th, 2009.  All trades must be received by 11:59pm on the deadline.
