Registration Night Coming Soon!
Mark your calendars! Registration has been set for Friday, September 17 from 7:30-9:00 p.m. at Shoeless Joe’s (just north of 16th Avenue on Markham Road).
The league will start on Friday, October 1 at 9:00 p.m. at Mount Joy Arena. If for some reason you can’t make it on September 17, you can still register on the 1st between 8:00-8:30 p.m. We will not be accepting registrations or payments after 8:30pm so that everyone can hit the ice on time.
We have been working hard on recruitment over the summer and if anyone knows someone who would like to come out, please make sure you invite them or have them visit this website. Don’t forget, there is a refer-a-friend discount for members.

AGM Posted
As promised the draft minutes from the AGM held last Friday April 16th have been posted on the Executive page. These will be draft minutes until the 2011 AGM. I have also posted the AGM Report that was available in hard copy at the meeting on that page. The photos taken at the dinner are now posted on the Photos page.
You may notice that the minutes from the February meeting have not yet been posted. These must be approved by the Executive at their next meeting before they are official and can be posted.
Another Year is Officially Over.
Thank you to everyone who attended the AGM last Friday night. It was a fun evening with great company and good food. The list of Executive members has been updated; Congratulations to Andrea and Kathy on their new positions.
The AGM report and draft minutes as well as photos will be available on the site soon.
A personal thank you to the league members for the card and kind notes upon my departure from the Executive.

AGM Tomorrow!
Hi ladies. Just a quick reminder about the AGM coming up on Friday, April 16…that’s this Friday if you’re not sure. Dinner starts at 6:30 so you can arrive anytime after 6:15-ish. Don’t forget to bring your $15 for dinner if you ordered! The actual meeting starts at 7:00 p.m.

It only takes a minute to do but is very helpful when planning for next year.
Also, please remember to RSVP for the AGM on Friday, April 16 at 6:30 p.m. at the Thornhill Community Centre (Bayview and John) whether you are coming for not. If you are coming, please indicate if you want dinner to be ordered for you at a cost of $15.00. Dinner will be chicken parmesan, potatoes, vegetables, rolls, and salad.

Year End Banquet Time!
The AGM will be held on Friday, April 16 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Dinner will be at 7:00 p.m. in the Fireside Lounge at the Thornhill Community Centre. (Click to view map)
For dinner, we are pleased to offer you a garden salad, boneless and skinless chicken parmesan, roasted potatoes, a pearl harvest blend, and rolls for $15.00. There will also be dessert made by Sharilyn and I!!! You can just bring the money with you to the AGM. There will be a few awards, some reports, a slideshow, etc.
As well, if you have not yet handed in your league jersey, please bring it with you to the AGM and we’ll give you back your deposit cheque. If you are not attending the AGM, we will have to make arrangements for you to drop off your jersey to someone.
Please RSVP whether you will be attending or not by Tuesday, April 7 (even if you did once already – all my emails are gone!)! You are welcome to bring your chequebooks with you are there will be an opportunity to pre-register for next season. We had a good turn-out last year so we are hoping fo rmore of the same this year.
For anyone who is interested in positions that are available on the Executive this year please view our “Call of Interest” to see the positions available and the related position descriptions. There are several positions up for grabs and Jennifer Ashbee has been kind enough to volunteer to be the Nomination Chair this year so if you have any questions after reading the attachment you can direct them to her. Please express interest to her by Tuesday, April 7.

A great year!
Thank you to everyone who came out to the Annual General Meeting last Friday. It was a lot of fun and there was lots of great feedback from everyone. I’ve posted the slideshow we were playing on You Tube, but you can also find it on our Photos page. We’ve also posted the AGM Report on the Executive section of the website. If you couldn’t make the AGM and you would like to register early for next year to save some money please email us by the end of April or the offer will expire!
Good luck to the Cougars and Pylons who are both playing in Hamilton this weekend! It’s going to be a lot of fun!!

AGM Report and Agenda

Just a reminder that the AGM is on Friday, April 3 at 6:30 p.m. We wanted to pass on some light reading so we are sending the Executive Reports electronically to try and save on paper (and the boredom of listening to us read them!). We will give a brief summary at the AGM but if you want more depth you should read the entire report.

Year End PARTY!!
Hi Everyone!
I have sent out an evite for our annual year end meeting that is going to be held on April 3rd at the Thornhill Community Centre in the Fireside Lounge at 6:30pm. The party is catered so we need to know if you can make it by March 24th and whether or not you would like to enjoy chicken cacciatore, roasted potatoes, salads, desserts and drinks for only $12. You are also welcome to join us and not have the meal. You can RSVP to Jackie via email (jmdeschenes@gmail.com) or RSVP on the evite you received.
There will be year end awards handed out as well as lots of news and information about a summer event, an early registration discount, a bring-a-friend discount and lots of plans for next year.
Overall it will be a great night with good friends and lots of laughs and fun.
