Chalk Talks start Friday!
Our first chalk talk session will be at 8:00pm on Friday night. It will be held in the room above the changerooms at Mount Joy – take the stairs on the left when you walk in the door. If you’re coming please let us know what you would like covered:

Great games tonight, one win each for red & white. The teams were evenly balanced & the scores were very close. Now it’s time for food & drinks at Shoeless Joes. Photos will be posted tomorrow!

Games Start Friday!
Hockey Pool Time!
Your favourite hockey pool is back! For the low entry fee of $10 you have a chance to win $100 and you’ll be supporting Markham Womens Ringette.
The pool will run similar to last year. You can enter as many times as you like for $10 each. All the entrant needs to do is fill in the form and pick one player from each of the 21 different groups of players. The prizes are $100 for 1st place, $50 for 2nd place and $25 for 3rd place. A special $10 prize goes to the person that finishes last. Entry forms are due by Friday October 30th and can be sent by email, fax (705-652-1227) or handed in at Ringette. Payment details are on the entry form.
All entrants will be provided instructions on how to view their standings via email after the entry deadline. The instructions will be posted on here as well.

Would you like to wear your MWRA pride on your chest? You can now with the arrival of MWRA hoodies, sweats and long sleeve shirts. Below is an idea of what the items will look like – all are available in black, grey or navy. You can download an order form for more information or to order. Let us know if you have any questions. The executive will be sure to wear theirs at the rink so you can see what it looks like up close!
Pre-Season Tune Up Tonight!
We had a good turn out last week at registration and tonight we’ve got some ice time to have a fun practice before the season starts.
We hit the Mount Joy Arena ice at 9pm for some skating and ring practice, then maybe a short scrimage to end. I hope to see everyone out! We already have 6 or 8 players coming, some from last season and some brand new to MWRA. Please join us! It would be a great way to dust off some rusty ringette skills!
Note: $10 per person for the hour.
